Gait Analysis, and Orthotics

At TRP we are trained and have extensive experience in Gait Analysis and a range of Foot related Physiotherapy.

Gait Analysis is used to discover abnormal movements which can produce high levels of stress in joints and muscles that can result in injury. At TRP we take you through very thorough assessment of your gait through physical assessment, history and computer analysis of your feet. Our technology scans your feet with the help of a rigid electronic pressure plate that is placed on the floor. This plate gathers valuable information about your walk/gait as you walk across it. We assess how your feet work together and the likelihood of any pain or injury developing. The results of these assessments may lead to a treatment plan, an exercise plan or in some cases, the recommendation of Orthotics (foot supports/insoles).

Gait scanning and analysis can be helpful if you suffer from pain in the foot, arch, ankle, knew, hip. Back or neck. Correcting your feet may reduce or eliminate pain in other areas of your body.
